My First Ever Book Haul!

bookhaul

I’ve gotten 25 books since the start of this year and I wanted to show them! I think I’m going to make this a regular thing on my blog – bi-monthly book hauls. I will post a haul at the begining of the third month (ex. my book haul for March and April will be at the begining of May). I’m going to by 5’s and just breifly explain why I decided to pick up each book. I hope you enjoy! (Also, these books are in order of when I bought or preordered them, not the order I recieved them.)

Stack 1

  • Outrun the Wind – I went to the bookstore with some Christmas money to buy some books about queer girls and this one caught my eye.
  • It’s Not Like It’s a Secret – I wanted a cute summer-y book about a love story between two girls and this seemed perfect!
  • We Are Okay – I had heard great things about Nina LaCour’s writing and I was curious. I have read this one and loved it. AND I got it signed by Nina LaCour just last night!

  • The Wicked King – I have two editions because I really wanted the Barnes and Noble edition and had to buy one when I went to a Holly Black signing! I loved The Wicked King and meeting Holly was amazing!

  • My Almost Flawless Tokyo Dream Life – I saw this book at Target and could see myself reading it in the summer, so I bought it.
  • Runaways: Find Your Way Home – There was a Barnes and Noble sale on the website and I thought I’d see if I enjoyed this book, since I love Rainbow Rowell. I ended up giving it 3 stars and think I’ll continue with the series.
  • Save the Date – I have wanted to read this book since it came out, so when I saw it on sale, I had to buy it! Also, it’s signed!

  • Broken Things – I was really curious about this book, because of the odd premise, so I bought it on sale.

  • Bleeding Earth – I also got this at the B&N sale, because I read the synopsis and was hooked. I don’t read a lot of sci-fi-ish books, but I’m really intrigued by the premise of this book. And it has queer girls!

  • To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han
  • The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken
  • The Simonverse Companions by Becky Albertalli

Number of Books on My Shelves

I have 465 books on my shelves. I didn’t record how many books I got in 2018 (something I plan on doing in 2019), but I estimate it was around 60 since I only had about 400 books on my shelves at the beginning of the year. The books on my shelves are not all of my books, but the majority of them. The only books I don’t keep on my shelves are books gifted to me by my family that I don’t actually want.

Blog Posts

I wrote (and posted) 60 blog posts in 2018. This is more than triple the number of posts I had in 2017, which makes sense because I started my blog in October of 2017.

The 18 Best Books of 2018

Template (23)

I read A TON of amazing books last year and it was so hard to narrow it down to 18 books, but I finally did it! Like I said in my least favorites post, these aren’t all books that came out in 2018 – just that I read in 2018. None of these are going to have spoilers – except for my favorite book, but I will put when I’m about to start writing about spoiler-y things! I hope you enjoy! (These are all five-star reads.)

18.  Night of Cake and Puppets by Laini Taylor

Overall, I enjoyed the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy but had major problems with it. This book, though, was one of the cutest most insta-lovey things I have ever read. And I LOVED it. Zuzana and Mik are too cute and reading about the crazy way they met (and fell in love) was so much fun.

17. 9 Days and 9 Nights by Katie Cotugno

I really did not enjoy 99 Days, so I wasn’t going to pick this book up. I saw it one day at Target, though, and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This book was amazing. Everything I hated in 99 Days (pretty much everything) was solved and the writing was so much better. I read this book in like one day because it was so much fun that I couldn’t put it down!

16. A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro

This book was so gripping that I couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed the main characters, but the shining star of the novel was August – who I was kind of (very) obsessed with. This book is so well written and gripping, but also easy to read and fun. I loved the mystery, but I really also enjoyed just going through all the struggles the characters went through and really being in their shoes.

15. There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

This was (by far) the best YA thriller I have ever read. It was equal parts thriller and romance and I loved both aspects. There was a lot of action, but there was also a lot of backstory and drama and falling in love. This is a perfect Halloween read that I couldn’t stop thinking about way after I had finished the book.

14. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

The romance in this book was exceptional. It was so well written and just overall adorable that I almost couldn’t stand it. It was just too well written! Now I have a higher standard for enemies to lovers. This book has so much action, romance, and magic. I loved all the aspects and think the author did an amazing job incorporating all of them in a logical way.

13. The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton

I said this in my review and still stand by it – this is the most flawlessly written book I have ever read. The writing is magical and I can’t think of a single flaw in it. This book is just so good. There is so much foreshadowing and suspense and things leading up to each other that it is so intricate – but not hard to read. I loved the romance (the main love interest has a stutter!) and the magical atmosphere. This book was amazing and 100% the most beautifully written thing I have ever read.

12. Star Touched Stories by Roshani Chokshi

The Star Touched Queen and Crown of Wishes are two of my favorite books of all time, so I was expecting to love this. I wasn’t let down. This book had me in tears the entire time I was reading. The stories were so powerful and beautiful and added so much to the world. I really, really loved all three of the stories, but the last one was my favorite. I love Gauri and Vikram so much!

11. The Selection by Kierra Cass

I haven’t ever heard anything good about this book, so I had super low expectations. This book blew them out of the water. It was just so fun to read! I loved the cheesy love triangle so much! Also, I am the biggest subpar YA dystopian sucker in the world, so I naturally adored this book. The romance was really cute and I really enjoyed the royalty dynamics in this story.

10. The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Trilogy by Jenny Han

I’ll be the first to admit that these books aren’t very good. The first one was really well written, but the second and third just weren’t. It was way too dramatic and drawn out. That being said, these books were so cozy to read. I felt so good reading about all the high school drama and Lara Jean’s crazy life. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the plot, but these books are so important to me. They made me feel so happy while I was reading them, and they will always have a special place in my heart.

9. Haunting the Deep by Adriana Mather

How to Hang a Witch, the first book in this series, was a very unexpected favorite of mine last year. I had super high expectations for this book and it met them. I love how the love triangle turned out so much. I was so worried Sam was going to not choose who I wanted her to – but she did! This book was kind of hard to get through and the first eighty-ish pages weren’t great, but when I got past those, I really enjoyed this book!

8. The Reckoning of Noah Shaw by Michelle Hodkin

This one was leagues better than The Becoming of Noah Shaw! I enjoyed the entire book – and the ending is killing me. Noah has grown so much in the course of his books and I’m enjoying it. That being said, if someone asked me if I think the Noah Shaw series should have ever happened, I would (without a doubt) automatically say no. I think the Mara Dyer trilogy was perfect and ended perfectly. I did really enjoy this book, though. I can’t wait to see Mara and Noah get together in the last book (hopefully)!

7. My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows

This book was brilliant. It was funny, romantic, and about one of my most favorite eras of all time. I enjoyed every second of this book and wish I could go back and read it for the first time a million times. I picked this book up on a whim at Barnes and Noble, and I’m so, so glad I did. I loved Jane, Gifford, and Edward so much. The plot was quick, the humor was amazing, and the romance was excellently written.

6. Furyborn by Claire LeGrand

The alternating timelines in this book were what really stood out to me. The plot progressed in one of the most creative ways I have ever seen – and I loved it. The characters were realistic, the plot was so unique and creative, and the romance was well written but not a major part of the story. I read this book on vacation – with a beautiful view of the ocean – and had an absolutely amazing time. This is one of those books that you can just fly through while enjoying every page.

5. The Darkest Minds Series by Alexandra Bracken (Including The Darkest Legacy)

I received the original trilogy for Christmas a few years back but didn’t get to reading it until this year.I don’t know why I waited so long – these books are amazing. I love how we’re given backstory so that we aren’t just thrown into the story knowing nothing, like in many YA dystopians. I also absolutely adore the character development that takes place in these books. The original trilogy is amazing, but The Darkest Legacy is my absolute favorite. I thought there was no way I would like the main love interest in The Darkest Legacy as much Levi, but I ended up liking him even more. Who knew that was even possible? Also, there were queer characters in a YA dystopian. FINALLY.

4. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

I adore this series. I tried to read Cinder like four years ago and got about forty pages in – and absolutely hated it. I decided to give the series another try, though, and I’m so thankful I did. These are by far the best science fiction books I have ever read (besides The Host by Stephanie Meyer – they’re tied as my favorites). I usually hate sci-fi, but this series is incredibly well done. While I love all the characters, Thornes is my absolute favorite. My favorite novel in the series was Scarlett. My favorite couple in the series was definitely Jacin and Winter. I’m so in love with this series and am incredibly glad I finally decided to give Cinder a second chance.

3. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

We’re down to my top three favorites! I think you’ll notice a common theme in my three favorite books of the year (faeries). I absolutely adored this book. I loved Cardan so much and I loved Jude so much and I loved everything so much! This book was so predictable in so many ways but I don’t even care. It was an absolute joy to read. I loved every single second I read this book and read it super slow because I really didn’t ever want to finish it. This book is phenomenal and has such a unique and well thought out world!

2. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

I didn’t know SJM could write a better book than A Court of Mist and Fury – BUT SHE DID.  This book was insane. My favorite thing about this book is that Feyre and Rhysand have their ups and downs but they never ever want to hurt each other. Also, I think I may like Feyre’s sister more than I love Feyre. This book was so interesting the entire time, which I was worried about since it was 700 pages long. I love the characters so much and this book did not disappoint me in that regard. There was character growth – but the characters were also very realistic. I loved everything about this book and can’t wait for the new series to begin.

1. Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

Is anyone surprised? Cassie’s done it again! I have A LOT to say about this book, so I’m going to have a nonspoiler and spoiler section. The spoiler section is honestly just me screaming about what happens, but it was really fun to write!

Nonspoiler

This book was incredible. I was nervous I would get bored because it was so long, but I didn’t. The plot was intricate, the romance was as good as it gets, and everything wrapped up nicely. I loved seeing so many characters that we haven’t seen a lot of or haven’t seen in a while. There was also major character growth, which I really enjoyed. I could have never imagined we’d get as good of an end The Dark Artifices as this one.

AAAAHHH! This book was perfection. I can’t believe there was a polyam triangle! I did not expect Mark, Christina, and Keiran’s love triangle would end that way, and I am so glad it did. I have never read a book with a ployam triangle and loved that aspect more than anything else in the book. I feel like it was definitely the most natural outcome for the three of them – it didn’t seem forced at all. I cried so much during this book. ALEC AND MAGNUS GOT MARRIED!!! I couldn’t stop crying. I have waited YEARS for that and finally, FINALLY, it happened. JACE AND CLARY ARE ENGAGED!!!! My heart is so full right now. Emma and Jules together is the cutest thing ever! The end killed me! JACE FROM THULE????? I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE WICKED POWERS! Ty and Kit were literally breaking my heart the entire book and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them. AND DRU, my sweet, fat, horror loving Shadowhunter. I LOVE HER. Also, the comment Christina’s mom made about Christina having to be with two men to measure up to Perfect Diego? ICONIC. Alec better get Idris back or I’m going to be mad. Also, I didn’t know how much I loved Aline until this book. SHE IS PERFECT. The Blackthorns are like the queerest family ever and I’m so here for it.

(Thanks for listening to me scream about QOAAD; it felt really good to get out!)

Thanks for reading! ❤

The 18 Worst Books of 2018

Template (22)

I read 85 books in 2018 and decided to compile both a favorites and least favorites list. My favorites list will be up next week. I know everyone says this, but these books didn’t all come out in 2018 – I just read them in 2018. I hope you enjoy hearing about my least favorite reads of 2018!

18. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

This book wasn’t awful, it was just incredibly disappointing. I read this book right after I read A Court of Wings and Ruin (one of my favorite books of the year) and was so disappointed with how little I cared about the story. This book really didn’t need to exist. While I enjoyed some aspects, such as catching up with minor characters like Varian, I just don’t know why this book was made. Also, Cassian said and did some really weird controlling things (over Nesta) that I really wasn’t a fan of.

17. Summer Days and Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins

I actually enjoyed a few stories in here, including Leigh Bardugo’s and Nina Lacour’s. Besides theirs, though, I really didn’t enjoy this book. The stories were too short for any character development and none of them were very structured or made me care about what was happening. I didn’t even like Cassandra Clare’s story and I always love what she writes!

16. Fairest by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles is one of my all-time favorite series, but this book just did not work for me. It bored me to the point where I almost put it down several times and I don’t think it added enough to the series. I would have been a lot happier with it if it was a short story in Stars Above.

15. Carols and Chaos by Cindy Anstey

I was expecting a lot out of this book and it fell flat. I loved the premise of a historical fiction romance set during Christmas. I rarely read historical fiction or romance, so I was excited to read something a little out of my comfort zone. My major issue with this book is that I was super confused the entire time. I just could not figure out what was going on.

14. The Lightning Theif Graphic Novel by Rick Riordan

I didn’t really like the art style and I thought the story was way too rushed. I was excited to dive back into the world of Percy Jackson, but I was let down by how much was left out of this graphic novel.

13. The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White

I tried to read And I Darken by Kiersten White a couple years ago and ended up DNFing it, so I didn’t have very high expectations for this one. It managed to not even meet those expectations, though. This book started off so strong but just ended up making me confused and really bored. I loved the first 150 pages but just didn’t really care after that.

12. Snowed In by Rachel Hawthorne

This is another book I had super low expectations for because of the reviews. It still managed to disappoint me. This book packed in as many tropes I really don’t like as it could. I really didn’t like the main character or the love interest. The only thing I enjoyed about this book is the setting and the beautiful cover.

11. Lizzie by Dawn Ius

This book was a modern take on Lizzie Borden. I picked it up on a whim because my mom said she was interested in reading it, and I wish I hadn’t. This book starts off interesting but goes completely off the rails about halfway through. I was underwhelmed and really not impressed with the writing or the pacing.

10. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

I read The Gentleman’s Guide right when it came out and absolutely fell in love with it. I was so excited to get a book about Felicity and had really high expectations for it. Nothing happened in this book though. It was mind-numbingly boring. This book even managed to make me not like Felicity – and I loved Felicity before! She was so judgemental and just not a very nice person throughout this story.

9. Asylum by Madeline Roux

I saw this book years ago at Walmart and instantly wanted to read it. Fast forward to summer 2018, I found this book for super cheap at Books A Million. I couldn’t wait to dive in. The problem was that the writing was awful. The plot was okay, I enjoyed some of the characters, and the pictures throughout the book were a really nice touch. The writing read like a really bad first draft and I didn’t enjoy reading this book at all. Needless to say, I’m not going to be reading the other books in the series.

8. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Anyone who knows me knows I hate pretty much all classics (besides Anne of Green Gables and The Picture of Dorian Gray). This was no exception. I don’t know if it was just me, but I was super confused the whole time. More than that, though, I hated the main character. He was just boring to read about. More than even that, though, the women/girls in this book were only there as a way to move the plot. They had very little personality and were just poorly written. Needless to say, I struggled to get to the end of this one – but had to so I could do an essay about it for school.

7. Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton

This book is so far down on the list because it was so disappointing. I could not wait to get my hands on it and when I did, I immediately dove in. The first 200 pages made me believe this was absolutely going to be a 5-star read. I loved the world, the romance, and the dynamic main character. Then, halfway through the book, the plot just stops. It’s like the first 200 pages were action-packed and full of suspense and then it just stopped. I got so bored with this book that I had to skim nearly 100 pages just to get to the end. I will not be picking up the second book in this series.

6. The Third Twin by C. J. Omololu

I am a twin and when my mom saw this book on sale at Books A Million, she was dying to buy it for me. I picked it up a few days after that, not really expecting much. Thrillers aren’t usually my jam and I’d heard some iffy things about this one. This book somehow didn’t even meet my super low expectations. It was horrible. I think I would have liked this book a little if the main characters weren’t so casually manipulative. This book was also the most predictable thriller I have ever read.

5. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

I really don’t like classics. This book was so beyond boring that I would skip unimportant chapters just to get to the end. I wouldn’t have bothered even finishing it, but this was a required book for school and I had to write an essay about it. It was just so boring and predictable. I knew everything that was going to happen way before it happened. Also, the main character was really annoying. All in all, I just did not enjoy reading this book.

4. The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic

A couple of years ago, I got the entire All for the Game trilogy for Christmas, so it really pains me to say that there is pretty much no chance of me continuing on with the series. This book was awful. The pacing was just so wrong. I like to get to know a character before we’re just thrown into action. In the first 30 pages of this book, the main character makes a major life decision, meets someone he used to know, and moves. It was just way too fast. I didn’t care about the main character or really any of the side characters. To me, they all sounded the same and I had to keep flipping in the book to see who the main character was talking to because no one had their own voice.

3. Through the Dark by Alexandra Bracken

The Darkest Minds series is amazing. I love all the characters, the plot is super well thought out, and the world is super realistic. That being said, I cannot stand this book. The first story, about Zu when she wasn’t with her friends, was amazing. It was well written, super informative, and really emotional. The second and third stories were awful. I do not care about Ruby’s friend, Sam. I don’t care about her at all. I don’t care about Lucas or Mia or any characters in those stories who aren’t the main characters from the series. These stories did not make me care about them. They made me wish Sam and Lucas and Mia had never been written. They were beyond boring.

2. The Time Machine by H.G. Wells

For the third time, I’m not into classics. My mom was reading this book for a class she teaches and thought I would enjoy it. I didn’t. I was super excited to dive into this story because I watched a show (that got canceled pretty quickly) about what would have happened if Jack the Ripper knew H.G. Wells and they both time traveled to present day. I really enjoyed that show and wanted to see if I would enjoy the real H.G. Wells’s work. I didn’t. This book was so weird but not in a good way. What I got from this was that monkeys will eventually evolve and rule the world. I would rather just watch Planet of the Apes, to be honest.

1. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Oh, Obsidian, I have tried to read you for many years but it seems the time has come to just give up. This is my third time trying to read this book. I got about 130 pages in before, once again, quitting. What’s so dishearting about that is that I read the prequel about the main guy’s brother maybe four years ago and loved it. It was only a short story, but it was super well written and informative. Obsidian is the opposite of that. In the 130 pages that I read, nothing happened. At all. I really don’t like the main character or the love interest, so I don’t think I will ever finish this book. I really, really don’t like this book.

Thanks for reading! ❤

I own four copies of this book and I hate both the movie cover and the original cover. It makes a lot of sense.

7. Room by Emma Donoghue

This book was originally my mom’s, but she always gives me her books and says that someday I can read them (when I’m an adult). I may read this someday since she really loved it, but dang the cover is bad.

6. Maud by Melanie J. Fishbane

I got this book to prepare for Prince Edward Island. Not only is it ugly, but it’s really bad. It doesn’t look ugly in the pictures online – but trust me, it’s ugly in person.

5. Legend trilogy by Marie Lu

I haven’t read these books, but I own all of them. They’re not the ugliest books on the planet, but they’re just really boring.

4. Struck By Lightning by Chris Colfer

I bought this in my Glee phase. This book really sucks AND it’s a total eyesore.

3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor

I’m currently reading – and freaking loving- Daughter of Smoke and Bone. The covers of the trilogy, on the other hand…

2. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

Sometimes simplicity on books can be really cute. This is NOT the case. The Girl on the Train is another book my mom gave me and told me I should read it in a couple years.

  1. Annexed by Sharon Doger and The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank by Ellen Feldman

I have an embarrassing confession. I went through a really weird phase last year where I was really obsessed with Peter van Pels, the boy from Anne Frank’s diary. I bought a couple of fiction books about him. I never got to reading them (and NEVER will), but I own two of them. One is called Annexed and the other is called The Boy Who Loved Anne Frank. They are pure gold in terms of ugly books.

The other day I was reorganizing my bookshelves and I got the idea to write this post.

10. Mara Dyer trilogy by Michelle Hodkin

I really love these covers (and the books). They’re so simple and yet super beautiful.

9. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steivfater

I love this series and I love the covers just as much. The Dream Thieves is my favorite book in the series and the cover is my favorite out of the four as well.

8. A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas

I freaking love the covers for Sarah J. Maas’s books and happen to own every single one of her books. My favorites are the A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

7. Anne of Green Gables (Puffin in Bloom and Oxford Children’s Classics editions)

My family actually went to Prince Edward Island last year and went to all the Anne of Green Gables attractions. There is where I got my Puffin in Bloom edition. The year before that, I got the Oxford Children’s Classics edition for my birthday.

6. Matched trilogy by Ally Condie

I’ve loved these books for years and they’re what really got me into reading. They’ll always have a special place in my heart and I think that makes me biased towards the covers. I really love them a lot.

5. Speak Easy, Speak Love by McKelle George

This book has one of the most beautiful covers ever. Honestly, it was pretty much a cover buy for me – but then I read it. This book destroyed me and I loved every second of it.

4. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson

Best realistic fiction ever. Cutest cover ever. I own both the American paperback and the UK paperback. Both covers are totally adorable.

These books are just beautiful.

2. Carry On Rainbow Rowell

I can say I’m a pretty huge fan of Rainbow Rowell. I love Eleanor and Park and Fangirl. Carry On is my favorite standalone ever. I have the UK paperback, US hardcover, and US paperback of Carry On. I also own Landline, but have yet to read it. Every edition I have of her books are so pretty. My absolute favorite, though, is the US hardcover of Carry On.

  1. Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter books

I own every one of Cassandra Clare’s books in multiple editions. I have over 30 Cassandra Clare books because she is my favorite author. I couldn’t choose one cover I love the most. I love the cheesy original covers of The Mortal Instruments and the new ones. I love the graphic novel and the new fancy City of Bones. I love the movie tie-in edition. The only cover I don’t like is my TV tie-in edition, but that’s because I hate the show. I love my hardcover of Lady Midnight and my paperback. I love the old and new Infernal Devices. I love the covers for The Bane Chronicles and for Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. All of her books are beautiful in their own right.

My Biggest Ships of 2017

Image result for lord of shadows

2017 is coming to a close and I’ve read 50 books. Out of those, I thought I’d choose my top 15 favorite ships of the year. (This may contain minor spoilers for The 100, The Gentleman’s Guide, Red Queen, Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy, How to Hang a Witch, The Star-Touched Queen, A Crown of Wishes, Timekeeper, Speak Easy, Speak Love, The Raven Cycle, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, and the Dark Artifices.)

#15 – Bellamy and Clarke from The 100

Coming in the last place is Bellamy and Clarke. I got The 100 from the Dollar Tree a few months ago and read it in one sitting. I loved it so much and loved Bellarke so much. They were so pure.

#14 – Percy and Monty from The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and they did not disappoint. I loved the passion, misunderstandings, and friendship these two shared.

#13 – Mare and Cal from Red Queen

They’re a cute couple, what can I say? They just seem so obvious for each other.

#12 – Farley and Shade from Red Queen

What a ship! They’re made to be with each other and I love their interactions so much!

#11 – Marisol and Jon from Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy

The popular boy and the quiet girl. They were made to be together.

#10 – Elijah and Sam from How to Hang a Witch

I don’t care that he’s a ghost, they can still be happy. Right? RIGHT???

#9 – Maya and Amar from The Star-Touched Queen

This is a retelling of Hades and Persephone. How could their love not be amazing?

#8 – Gauri and Vikram from A Crown of Wishes

I love when they start as fighting all the time, but it turns into fighting all the time (with a passion for each other).

#7 – Colton and Danny from Timekeeper

Cutest boyfriends of the year award goes to them. That’s all I can really say.

#6 – Hero and Prince from Speak Easy, Speak Love

I loved how much Prince loved Hero so much that it made my heart 3 sizes bigger.

#5 – Adam and Ronan from The Raven Cycle

THE BEST SLOWBURN EVER? YES.

#4 – Julian and Emma from The Dark Artifices

The best kind of love is forbidden love.

#3 – Kit and Ty from The Dark Artifices

This one isn’t exactly canon (yet), but they have chemistry and I have faith.

#2 – Mara and Noah from The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

This couple is too good for humanity and none of us deserved it.

#1 – Mark and Keiran from The Dark Artifices

I loved Mark and Keiran since day one when Lady Midnight was released. I have all my hope and faith in them and I know that they have to end up together because they’ve loved each other for so long and still do. On a side note, I hate Christina (not only because of the whole Mark thing but also because she adds nothing to the story). In conclusion, Mark and Keiran deserve each other and they better end up together or I will cry for the rest of eternity.
